How does CM previews work for parades? Do they restrict it to only MK CMs and offer them one night to come and see the parade? For attractions I think they do previews for multiple days and basically have cast members reserve a time and day in advance for them and sometimes family members. They could do similar for Starlight if it will be offered to more than just MK cast.
This is probably about the closest to a parade preview we have seen in recent times. This ran from 11:30am to midnight.

That’s what I’m wondering. The showing would be VERY late. They do that for CMs but they can better control where CMs go. Normal guests would need the whole park open.

The math works for MNSSHP because they charge a fortune and close the park to the poors at 6 pm. Can’t do that here.

And then if there is lightning that night, it’s a wash. Imagine charging APs $100 for an “exclusive” party and having to cancel the parade. At least MNSSHP lasts five hours so they can USUALLY find a window to run a parade and avoid refunds.

But we were told by reliable posters in this very thread that there would be CM previews, AP previews, DVC previews, soft openings, out-of-state previews, and special upcharge events to preview the biggest bestest grandest Epic-killingest parade to ever grace God's green earth. Huh. I guess they were wrong. 🤔 🤫

And there were Streams and Videos from that! :) Granted, HEA was an Established Show, but there was Reports!

I believe TRON was also Dedicated/ had Pyro that night

We wouldn’t be able to see the floats but maybe the Glow from them and more so any type of parade route lighting effects, if there will be any.
You’re right. I realize I was thinking of the projections on MSUSA that we could see from BLT ahead of Enchantment’s premiere. Meanwhile, I frequently hear MK music at BLT. Those Castle shows can probably be heard from Epcot…

If they did add new rooftop lighting that’s something we should definitely be able to see when they start testing.

I'm not sure anyone said things like that.

A few things that would make Starlight better are a Logo float, smaller floats like whirly units, one or two other floats which my picks are Little Mermaid and Tangled, a villains float and or something like Fantasia from Spectro, and a fun upbeat float with cool lighting effects and search lights like Mack has in PTN.
Realistically I don’t expect any of this to happen with the exception of maybe one more float asside from Mickey.

Think you are having way to high expectations there.

Yes I agree I need to temper expectations and we have been warned of that already. This isn’t Spectro 2.0 unfortunately. Hopefully there is a little bit more to Starlight than we think. They do still need reveal Mickeys float, supposedly another royalty float unless that’s referring to Mickey and we also have not seen what the Frozen float will look like.

If there was a tangled float, it wouldve been the Wish float, it's concept looks similar to the one from Tokyo. The Wish float I'd assume is a bit smaller though.
