I find the lack of decor at Whispering Canyon particularly appalling because it’s basically in the WL lobby, which is lavishly decorated in December. The restaurant suffers AND anyone entering the hotel is distracted by the entire left side being barren. Bad show.
Exactly. The fact that it is so visible from the lobby should be more than enough reason to decorate it. Although it shouldn’t even matter. It should be decorated regardless.
Poly has the same problem with Kona, Ohana, and Tambu. And even Riverside where everything is missing down the corridor beside the lounge and Boatwrights and in the food court.

I’m just trying to figure out where they’re trying to save money with this. Less labor hours for install nights? They have a whole warehouse full of decorations they buy in bulk so I can’t imagine the savings there is significant, but who knows. Just sad they got rid of EVERYTHING instead of just scaling it back a bit if they really thought necessary. This extra bits of garland can’t be breaking the bank.

Is there nothing for Blizzard Beach this year or am I too early?

They don't even have the present themed floaties and I can't imagine why they wouldn't at least have those so I'm guessing I'm too early but can't find anything about it coming up.

It’s definitely going to be manpower/overtime savings. If it’s not behind a separate paywall or microtransaction then they really have no incentive to do it.

People, people… you have to stop holding Disney to the standards they used to have, the ones they themselves set. Stop complaining about what they used to do vs what’s going on now and being so stuck in the past.

Just be happy Disney is graciously providing you the opportunity to be activated and spend an additional $169+ for a Christmas party at MK or an additional $149+ for “Jollywood Nights” at DHS.

They haven’t really decorated the water parks in years…

It’s baffling because no one has been able to use this space since march 2020, with no plans to reopen it, and they decorated it for Christmas. Meanwhile restaurants across property that are open daily had all their decor packages removed.

None of the restaurants are open and being used overnight when they are decorated. So this wasn’t easier. It’s ridiculous that restaurants like Grand Floridian Cafe, Whsipering Canyon, Boatwrights, and so many more lost their entire decor packages.

I wouldn’t call that baffling. It just means you have no idea what they’re going to do with that space.
