Walt Disney World Holiday Season 2024

for a park that carries the resort's most beloved and popular program event, Candlelight Processional, you would think the decor would be better. They do nothing anymore, Germany and Italy get a lit garland and that's about it. The restaurants get nothing anymore, the music isn't there, the main tree area is barren and boring...they do as little as possible.
Every country except Morocco gets holiday decorations.

If I had to hazard a not-an-insider guess, I’d guess none of that is happening. I have doubts Starlight will debut in May.

One would think continued disappointments would introduce some realistic expectations but yet here we are.
You think I'm not skeptical of TDO and all of TWDC?????? HA!!!!!!

Since they insist on ruining nighttime SSE with those horrid LED pucks, I abstain from watching any such shows.
They're really not noticeable from afar, and blend in well when you do see them.

They are awful insofar as a few of them routinely end up out of sync or off and stick out like a sore thumb.

When I can't look at SSE because they have them turned up so bright, that's not "blend in well". I took a great picture of them being used to enhance the natural beauty of the geosphere, but 98% of the time they are an eyesore. But the most common denominators ooo!!! and ahhh!!! over them, so here we are.

I remember seeing the lights on spaceship earth for Harmonious and thought they were painfully bright.
But when we saw Luminous, it seemed like they dimmed the light and it looked soooooo much better.

How close are people staring into SSE that they rind the lights "painfully bright?"
I was far away - and it was too bright - not unlike the aggressive brightness of some led headlights. I mean, how safe is it when *I* can’t see due to the obnoxious brightness. There are times that I see “spots” in my eyes from those car headlines like a flash went off

I'm hearing the possibility of it being filmed this weekend? I haven't had it 100% confirmed, but I was told it was happening.
Correct. Not sure why they need to. The decor and the parade never change. They’ll roll out Mariah or Christina to belt out a Christmas carol so loudly they can hear it at the new Universal in Texas.

It never changes. And Mariah never ages because she’s frozen 11 months of the year. Hard to believe but this is the 85th year she’s performed “All I Want for Christmas”.

Each of the story tellers get a decorated mini-stage. The band in Biergarten sings Christmas songs. The BGM around world showcase is 'holiday' music. The Voices of Liberty do holiday songs. Then there's the tree...

But the best is LwtL's Christmas decorations. The queue is over an hour for that ride when it gets dark.

The SSE "When We're Together" is a nice mini-show.
we’re staying at the YC next month & planned on going to epcot & check out LWTL at nighttime. i wasn’t aware it gets that crowded. good to know.

Probably because they want to advertise Tiana or something? Could also be easier to film something in MK vs DL now. As for it not changing... Would be nice to see new Christmas and Easter parades.
