I disagree that quicker automatically = shoddy and improper.
Right, but the point is that things generally happen in a set proper order, separated by inspections, revisions, etc. There is a point at which simply having more bodies on site (i.e. throwing money at the problem) does nothing if you're also following proper procedure because everything can't happen at once.

Or, that’s an indicator of nothing as some of our experts at reading these things have indicated could be the case. You may have missed it being sandwiched between all your posts saying the same glass half empty banter.
I personally don't care as I have no expectations of when this work will be done. I would not be surprised if its delayed for reasons.

I will say I would not want them to rush to finish this to make up for delays as its very important they get this right.

We have seen what happens when they rush to finish to make up for delays in the EPCOT renovation.

It's one thing to construct an attraction in a fully accessible construction site.

It's another thing to do it in the middle of a fully running theme park.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I thought this current discussion was about A new Notice of Commencement has been filed for the ongoing refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom, and it comes with a notable change: an extended expiration date of April 15, 2026, indicating the project may take longer than originally planned?

I personally don't care as I have no expectations of when this work will be done.

Or who ever filled out the NOC decided to write in the default 1 year expiration.

That’s a nice straw man. It’s not that quicker automatically means shoddy and improper. It means doing proper work has time limits that cannot be overcome by just throwing money at it.

The simplest example would be concrete which is the result of a chemical processes that takes time. Certain mixes and additives can alter the time involved but at some point you have to just wait. You could do it all at once (Cosmic Rewind did for its mat foundation) but it also means potentially blocking areas from additional work. Good sequencing of work is going to take into account doing work in a way to allow other work to continue in other places.

You also have to consider about BTM is space. There isn't much space for more people to do more work. Like literal space where people can stand and do things. There are segments of the track that can't be done until others. There is artwork that can't be done until the construction is over. etc. etc.

There are logistics and parts that needs to be ordered, corrected, changed. There are holidays and off time.

You may be able to spend 20% (made up number) more on a project but only get it done 2 months (made up number) sooner. That's usually not a good investment.
