With the recent episode of "We Call It Imagineering" featuring a pinboard hinting at the Society of Exploers and Adventurers storyline being expanded on in the Disney Parks in the future, I thought I'd chronicle the development of the S.E.A. in a thread and where we might find the S.E.A featured at the Disney Parks in the future (especially as its the closest we'll get to any original attractions at the moment):
- 1989 -
- May 1, 1989 – Adventurer’s Club & Pleasure Island opens at Downtown Disney, introduction of Merriweather Adam Pleasure
- 2001 -
- September 4, 2001 – Fortress Explorations opens at Tokyo DisneySea, establishes the S.E.A. was founded in Porto Paridiso on August 12, 1538
- 2006 -
- September 22, 2006 – Tower of Terror at DisneySea, introduction of Harrision Hightower III
- 2008 -
- September 27, 2008 – Adventurer’s Club & Pleasure Island closes, props to be used at Hong Kong Disneyland's Mystic Point & Aulani, a Disney Resort
- 2011 -
- August 29, 2011 – Aulani, a Disney Resort opens, establishes Hightower III as a member of the Pillager's Brigade (predecessor to the Adventurers Club) and how Hightower first learnt about the Shiriki Utundu
- 2013 –
- February 2013 - Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom refurb. First official S.E.A. members introduced (Barnabas T. Bullion and confirmation of Jason Chandler as a member)
- May 17, 2013 – Mystic Manor opens at Hong Kong Disneyland. Introduction of Lord Henry Mystic, Mary Oceaneer, Professor R. Blauerhimmel, Dr J. L. Baterista, Maestro D’Elfman & Charlton J. Taboret, and confirmation of Harrison Hightower III as a S.E.A. member

- February 2014 – Oceaneer Lab on Disney Magic and Wonder, expanding backstory of Captain Mary Oceaneer
- 2015 –
- September 2015 – Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar opens at Disney Springs, featuring references to the Adventures Club and S.E.A.
- October 2015 – Jungle River Cruise: Curse of the Emerald Trinity at Hong Kong Disneyland. Introduction of Professor Garrett Reed who had his S.E.A. membership revoked by Henry Mystic

- December 16, 2015 – Skipper Canteen opens at Magic Kingdom, introduction of Dr Albert Falls and Alberta Falls. Confirmation of Merriweather Adam Pleasure, Luana Teixeira, Sango Shio and Chef Tandaji as members via Fezes in S.E.A. secret room
- 2017 –
- March 12, 2017 – Miss Adventure Falls opens at Typhoon Lagoon, focusing on Mary Oceaneer's "forced" retirement
- June 30, 2017 – Bengal Barbeque new seating area, SEA easter eggs including portrait of Professor R. Blauerhimmel and photo of Charlie Allnut and Rose Sayer with Albert the Monkey looking for Albert Falls
- 2018 -
- December 29, 2018 – Tropical hideaway opens, with a wall of paddles belonging to SEA members, including unseen members C. Falco, S. Shio, & Chef Tandaji
- 2019 -
- July 23, 2019 – Soaring: Fantastic Flight opens at Tokyo DisneySea, introduction of Camellia Falco and Vitale Roobustelli. Jason Chandler and Lord Henry Mystic in the crowd of Camellia's induction ceremony in 1851
- 2021 -
- July 2021 – Jungle Cruise refurbishment, introduction of Doctor Kon Chunosuke
- December 15, 2021 - Disney Insider episode 14 on Disney+ features S.E.A., mentioning of Shinji Takahashi book series. First appearance of the S.E.A. timeline and Global Headquarters map. Amungst the items on the cork board is the layout of Hong Kong Disneyland's Explorers Lodge
- 2022 -
- April 25, 2022 – Shinji Takahashi and the Mark of the Coatl is released, book on the SEA in the 21st Century. Introduction of Oliver Ocean (Mary Oceaneer’s grandson) and Scarlett Blauerhimmel (descendant of R. Blauerhimmel) and other members
