They used to remove them. It's not a great look having them around for no reason. We were thinking that when we were there last week.

Yeah, it’s so ridiculous to not consider a bunch of prominent, shuttered facilities as good show.

The DIY LARPING Festival.

Pay for food somewhere else in the park, then bring it with you as you belly up to one of the shuttered kiosks and then pay more to recreate your favorite festival moments from the past year.

Eating on top of a Garbage Can!
Having local wildlife steal your food!

With Epic Universe taking over just about every media outlet next year, a festival would at least keep Epcot from falling off a cliff.

So far Epcot has been busy, but there's a noticeable attendance dip in World Showcase.

Due to the over saturation of festivals, they lost the effect of drawing guests to the park.

Festivals are not cheap to run and it was likely a calculation based on projected attendance that it wasn't profitable run extended festivals.

I've mentioned this before, but people are certainly burned on festivals... but mostly since they run for such a long period.

I think Epcot can benefit from shorter and more unique 2-3 week festivals in between the larger ones.

They should have just had a mini summer festival with like five booths in the new, air-conditioned, empty CommuniCore Hall this summer. People would eat from indoor kiosks. It was too damn hot to wait in line and eat stew on a trash can last August.

That was the norm for decades, they would all be pulled backstage between festivals. Leaving empty closed buildings on stage used to be considered bad show.

This may have come to nothing, but I could've sworn there was something about them not being up to code as permanent structures.

Rules and times change, but I figured they were designed to be carted in/out as needed.

Speaking of food offerings at parks, the nutella and fruit waffle at Sleepy Hollow is no longer on the menu as of this morning.

They changed to a Mickey waffle with some Nutella and bananas. Definitely feels like a downgrade.

It was one of my family’s favorite snacks…

I agree. Last year between festivals I overheard people complaining about how many things were closed (in reference to the shuttered booths). That was with only a few weeks between F&G and F&W. This is three months.
