100%. If one of the two water parks is always closed the water parks and more add on annual passes should be reduced in price and renamed to water park and more you can only visit one at any given time. Closing a park that's barely been open for "refurbishment" is such a lame excuse.
Remember when they geared up a wait-list for WDW annual passes around a year ago? Wonder how that's going.

Makes the decision easy to decline the water parks and more option, since "water parks" isn't really plural, as it should be.

I love the wave pool at typhoon but otherwise blizzard is superior. Glad I snuck in a visit last month. There were like 200 people in the whole place. You waited for nothing. It was glorious. Blizzard is much more convenient for me.

How disappointing. I enjoy TL, but the stark contrast in the wave pools is ultimately what drives us to BB. I love the TL wave pool, but we have a couple family members who can't handle those waves, so we ultimately prefer BB since it's calmer. We were hoping to be able to get there over summer vacation. Dang. Fingers crossed they do get it open for summer.

The slides at blizzard are still superior though at least they added a few good ones at typhoon over the years

I look forward to the day when both parks are open at once but I do wonder if it is more a cost cutting decision vs difficulty in staffing. Some have said that Disney has had a lot of trouble getting enough skilled people for both to run at once.

I’ll give you 3 guesses and the first 2 don’t count

1. Bob Iger so loves the water parks that he is personally helping build new attractions at one park for the next 6 months.
2. Goofy is actually being quarantined in the closed water park due to that nasty bug he contracted on his last European tour.
3. It's a cost-cutting measure.

At this point it’s been years since both water parks have been open. I wonder if they’d ever just bulldoze one of them and put up a dvc.

Edit: I don’t want that to happen, but I feel as though some people at Disney must have asked this question already.

At one point WDW had three water parks all operating at the same time.

The water parks don’t seem popular enough to justify opening both. But they also don’t market them, haven’t updated Blizzard Beach, and make it onerous to get to a water park. Self-sabotage there. Remember when they never updated Disney Quest and then closed it because no one went there?
Yeah…that was that zany time in Disney history where they asked people to spend their limited vacation time and money at their property…and in return, Disney staffed and ran the components of their property

Crazy

Now it’s an escort out of the magic kingdom a 7 pm three times a week 😂
