Here's what D23 had to say:

It’s been 15 fan-tastic years with the greatest fans on Earth—and now, D23 invites you to mark our anniversary milestone at Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Disney Springs, as we look back on 15 years of magic and memories all made possible because of fans like you!

We’re taking a trip down memory lane… or lanes, better yet! It’s time to strike a pose and mingle with fellow D23 Gold Members as you bowl, eat, and play the evening away. Snack and sip as you participate in inspired photo opportunities and arcade games at this bodacious bowlers’ bash.

All D23 Gold Members in attendance at this 15th Anniversary Celebration will also receive a dazzling event-exclusive “Cosmic Blue” variant of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse Figurine from the 2024 D23 Magic & Mystery Gold Member Collector Set, along with a D23 event-exclusive D23 15th Anniversary Pin inspired by the Magic & Mystery of Disney.

Additionally, all attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a special merchandise RSP for The Walt Disney Company Store’s exclusive collection of D23 15th anniversary pins! Check out two of the new releases, below; they’ll be available at this exclusive RSP opportunity, with even more designs in store via the whole collection!

Odd they expect you to go to Coronado Springs to pick things up instead of having everything at Splitsville - talk about inconvenient! I wish these extra events weren't so expensive; I appreciate the head's up from WDWMagic as I never hear about these things from D23, even though I'm on their email list.

$50 seems pretty reasonable for a Disney event considering what they normally charge.
There's a lot less they can offer here. It's not like closing a park a few hours early and reopening for the people who paid to go.

Notice they say gold members will have the *chance* to bowl, dine and play in the arcade? There is no mention of any of that being included in you $57 ticket.

Folks will pay their $57, show up to get their stuff, jump through whatever hoops to buy the exclusive stuff, snap some pics for insta and then a lot will likely leave not wanting to deal with the crowd.

The influencers will, I'm sure, descend and create reels making it look like a celebration for the ages... at Splitsville.

The funny part is, I saw the headline on the main page and my first thought was "merchandising event" - they've conditioned me to now just assume that's what any sort of thing they call a celebration is really going to be - a chance to stand in lines to buy crap.
