I know it’s disappointing when any business closes, but every time one is announced, I read what they are and I’m not surprised. Disney Springs’ biggest customers aren’t locals, it’s tourists, and tourists aren’t buying hammocks to ship back home, at least not a tourist coming to Disney. It just seems like most that are closing failed to take into account the target audience at DS.

This. Tbh, I'm surprised it even survived this long. I cant imagine many locals deciding to buy there, and the vast majority are tourists who wouldn't see the worth in the hassle of trying to take that back home when they could buy something similar or better in their original state/country. And it wasn't even disney themed, which might have gotten a few more folks interested in them

Swinging on a hammock in what seems like 95% humidity in the brutal summer? - no thanks.

Hello! Former employee here. A lot of our market was from tourists yes, and we shipped outside of Florida for free so that definitely helped. When we opened across from paddlefish the shop did remarkable well. Then we moved and things started going south after 2020. A few locals yes but mostly out of state/country visitors. But yes it was a very niche market, and if we were at a better location we could have survived a couple more years. Oh well, live and learn.
