Those two statues are perfect for making memes. Donald is out shopping for daisy while daisy secretly is hanging out with someone else. Donald got dumped by daisy in favor of.....

Hopefully it will mean I'll get to see some good pins out this weekend - pre-pandemic CM to guest trades were how I got some 90% of my rare pins until I started buying more frequently at a few shops around Orlando.

And in related news, Disneyland is finally getting rid of those professional pin traders that think it's okay to take over a park bench with all their crap pins trying to trick tourists into trading good ones for.

I love that they put this part in, just to make sure these morons know they mean business:

"No Use of Benches
Benches or any other structures for the display of pins will not be permitted. Benches are for seating purposes only."

I absolutely hated Pin Trading when I was CM.

My favorite Pin Trading experience was when I was a coordinator & assisting the medical team with a guest who had an unfortunate medical episode outside on the World Showcase Promenade and some irritating woman (shocker!) came up and grabbed my hip lanyard without asking and starting trying to take pins off the square patch.

Same. The problem is that it messes up when you're trying to get other things done, and then if you tell a guest to wait a moment, they get mad. Then there's a lot of other issues with the fake pins, the pins with backings that fall out or are wrong sized because they're fake.

The Disney Parks account on Instagram has announced Cast Member to guest Pin Trading officially returns to Walt Disney World on April 7.

Here's the announcement:

Someone forgot to tell CMs about this - I traded with 2 CMs last week at MK - both standing around waiting for a vomit spill to clean up. They were very happy to have the distraction!

When I was a CM, it was optional if the CM wanted to do pin trading or not. I know bus drivers who would participate but as much as I loved pins, I thought it would be a dangerous distraction and therefore did not participate.

I did do bus trading cards but because they were not visible, I could control who I wished to bestow a card on.

There are less bus pins from Disney than I expected.
