Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade may soon be reduced to one performance daily

No Genie+ to profit off, MiSi 3x, actual non budget cut parade. They only used to run FoF twice on popular days.
I know.

I'm wondering if no Park Hopping till 2 played a part in making FOF twice a day? Wonder what will happen in January when Park Hopping returns full time.

For the number of guests in the park, it needs to be twice a day, particularly in the absence of a night parade.

But they need to run it in the afternoon and evening like Disneyland does. If they can run the season parades at night they can run FoF. Just add some lighting. Pretty sure the floats are not the problem nor is it the willingness of the cast, it’s that they don’t want to pay the cast to perform at night.

On the Christmas taping days do they still run the full OUACT after they finish taping for the day? I remember that happening several years ago. I another year I know they ran FoF at like 5pm or something.

Not since 2007 or 2008 that MOUACT ran after the taping.

I know the Regular Day Parade got the 5pm Slot starting in 2009

It was neat to see FOF at Sunset for a couple years l. It looked great under the lights! Why MK won't try that again when MK needs a Parade after dark..IDK!

I believe a few years ago they trialed this after park close and didn’t like the way it looked at night with the stationary floods along the route.

Yes I saw that before. What Team MK saw differently then compared to 5PM on taping days, I have no idea!

Is there a reason they can’t change the floods?
If they are going to those lengths, they might as well just bring over one of the two nighttime parades DL isn’t using. This idea that DL doesn’t want to share and that such a feeling matters is ridiculous. If D’Amaro wanted to send a parade east, he’d make some calls and they’d be sent over. At this point, DL seems happy to just have Fantasmic! return next year and no night parade until 2025. So they’re just collecting dust indefinitely.

Very true, but as far as changing/upgrading the floods this could be a benefit for even a night parade and the seasonal parades.

I think it might have something to do with safely concerns for cast and guests that doesn’t exits out west. Over the years WDW started turning on the standard white/clear floods when BTY and OUACT runs instead of just using the colored temporary lighting they use for the parties.
