DAK “Zootopia” is being created for the Tree of Life theater

But if you notice, they completely left out the non-mammalians that were the subject of Zootopia 2. To be honest, they could hand out free mickey bars and still not salvage a positive crowd review.
Free Mickey ice cream bars? I LOVE Mickey ice cream bars! All I have to do is… Hmmm… nope. Still wouldn’t be enough to get me to say anything positive about Z******* or this rip-and-replace bungling.

We were there on December 4. It was delayed twice (back to back) and we ended up leaving after waiting a long time in the lobby area of the theatre during both delays. Have there been any other delays like that?

Probably due to who is running the projector?

I'd heavily consider it though... Free ice cream isn't something anyone can turn down easily!

This show isn’t quite as bad as I had feared - the AA and in theatre effects are well done. I’m not sure why they didn’t do a full “awards style” show with different acts - would make more sense than the “carrot vision” transmission.
I would consider myself more of a modern day Disney fan and love that the parks constantly change.

That being said, I still like quality work. And while I will agree that you can tell effort was put into the queue, the video, the animation and the AAs, there some things that just do not make logical sense. The audience feels effects from a live stream. How is that even possible? And the main characters somehow interact with Clawhauser who is in the theater but there is no device that provides for this direct interaction. Make it make sense!

And I know this is obviously aiming at a younger demographic, but the pacing is frenetic and hard to follow. I suppose the team that put this together is assuming that the younger kids will miss some of the obvious incongruent elements. I did get to see it, and truth be told, the audience was absolutely laughing and enjoying it, so maybe I am being way overly analytical for what this attraction is.

You know what's funny?

You are not being over-analytical. You are simply attempting to explain what your gut/subconscious is already telling you...that this attraction is absolute garbage.

So how long are we wagering this lasts, over under ITTBAG?
IMHO, I can’t see Zootopial lasting 27 years like ITTBAB lasted…now if they keep making sequels to the series and in 20 years we’re on Zootopia 12, maybe?
If TWDC DID end it after a short time, that would just make it appear that they made a mistake which, we all know, Disney doesn’t do…admit a mistake that is….

I have to agree. For some reason I just couldn’t follow the videos of this online. However when I saw it in person last week, most of it made sense. Still not my favorite and not as good as Bug, but an update was needed and this isn’t the worst thing they could have done. Overall, guests seem to enjoy it and it eats some people while this park badly needs it for the next year or two.

I haven’t visited this thread in a while, nor have I seen this attraction in person. I watched a YouTube video of it a while back, and watched another YouTube video of it just last night.
On our last cruise (non-Disney) we watched a live show one night in the main theater. It was about 3 young couples getting ready to be married.
After we left the theater at the end of the show, our oldest daughter asked me “So dad, what did you think…?” I paused for a moment and said “What the hell did I just watch…?! What the hell was that mess…?!”
She laughed and said she felt the exact same way.
Which is the exact same reaction I have to this Zootopia mess of a show. :cyclops:
