Perhaps this is a stupid question, but is it actually floating? Or is it just placed on a pad under the water?

Not a stupid question at all! The “ship” is made of aluminum, plastic, and styrofoam, built on a custom made floating dock. It’s not “real” but a very detailed replica of an historical sloop.

I love to see this! This is the attention to detail I admire.

Disney could have simply deleted this but they didn't.

When Disney does something I dislike I am quick to complain, but I will also call out when they do something good.

Glad it's back! Now if they'd just bring back the Omnibuses to World Showcase lagoon. But then, they'd have to remove some food booth stands to make space.

Gotta pay for Hulu and prop up D+ before you will see a billion dollar spend at Epcot and that's what you are asking for
