Disneyland Fantasmic Dragon Engulfed in Flames

The Fantasmic Mickey & Malificent lifts are still not working, surely they're installing the dragon under the stage cause theres just no way they've been both broken for this long.

You’d hope so but sadly I’d be surprised. I think they’d also have announced something if a new dragon was coming.

I was actually surprised to see that it appears Fantasmic has been moved back and now starts at 9:05 PM rather than 9. Is the show shorter now than it used to be, or was it always 9:05 around this time of year and I just didn't notice?

(Very well could be standard because of sunset times, and I've definitely seen 9 PM Fantasmics where the sun had just barely set before).

No reason I can see it should be 9:05, It's been 9pm for Years!

As for the Dragon: going off History......It's unheard of that the Dragon would be installed while F! is on its normal Schedule.....

Show was moved back 5 minutes to help with Paint the Night. No prep work has begun for the dragon, and I wouldn’t expect to see a new one until 2027 at the earliest.
Do you think this show is on the chopping block for DL ?

Disney doesn’t seem to care about getting it back to a proper functioning state.

I doubt it, it's pretty established at this point, serves as a useful alternative to the fireworks, sparks revenue via dining packages, etc.

Disney undoubtedly knows that bringing the dragon back would be enough to prolong the show for another decade or so.

Not a Disneylander but I can’t comprehend them getting rid of it ever. Aren’t the crowds for it at Disneyland insane even by Disney standards?

Could be many reasons.

These aren’t standard elevators you can just call an elevator mechanic out to fix.

Budgets etc take time to be approved and work to begin
I find it incredibly unlikely that multiple stage level lifts just managed to break at the sametime and then go unrepaired for 5-6months while the one on top of the house is still functioning. There has to be something else at play.

Would anyone like to see a dedicated Fantasmic space with seating as part of Disneyland Forward?

It would take up about a fifth of the space connecting to DL if built to WDW specs. A big drawback is dead space most of the day or if the show isn't running.
