Disney cleaning protocol

Heyyy --
I've been wondering if Disney does ANY cleaning of rides, surfaces and touchpoints in the parks anymore? I wouldn't think everyday but do they do it once a week? It seems like hotels and resorts are still implementing more cleaning than before covid but didn't know if it went by the wayside entirely at the theme parks. This is not a debate thing. Genuinely curious. Thanks.

Unless they do it every hour it’s not nearly enough. I used to get sick post trips all the time despite what I thought was clean enough habits. Ever since the pandemic I carry sanitizer everywhere at WDW. Anytime I’m about to eat, sanitize, and not touch anything that I know isn’t clean (that means my phone too) and if I do sanitize again.

I sanitize and/or wash my hands in the bathroom immediately after riding anything anymore. We used sanitizer for years prior to the pandemic and then added the hand washing since hand sanitizer doesn't kill everything (sorry, you become a little fastidious about hand hygiene after working in a hospital for years). Even if Disney does clean, like @Touchdown said, they can't do it enough. Too many hands have been too many places and are touching everything!! We look at sanitizer as giving us a stop-gap unitl we can get ourselves to some good ol' soap and water! My wish is that Disney would return to clean of rides so they don't look so dingy/beat up.

Thanks everyone. We plan on bringing sanitizer and washing with soap before meals especially. Got covid from Disney last year so we are trying new strategies. I was just curious if they clean surfaces daily or weekly as a bridge between doing too much and doing nothing. I know covid is less of a concern for surfaces but I think about norovirus and terminator germs like that lol.

Unfortunately our entire family came down with COVID on our trip this past summer, only I suspect my DH was the primary culprit. He decided not to wear a mask from our flight from Seattle to Orlando and sat next to someone who said he wasn't feeling all the well 😳 Just my theory since he came down with symptoms first. It pretty much took all of us out at some point. But agree, I'm more concerned when I travel about norovirus and other beasties (e.g. influenza when we go during flu season since I'm allergic to the flu vaccine). But avoiding face touching is totally excellent advice!

Covid is airborne so don’t get too worried about surfaces. If you really want to avoid it then wear an N95 type mask when in enclosed spaces.
