What happened to cheese danishes???

Years ago, one of my favorite breakfast items that could be found at most Disney Resorts was their cheese danish. For several years, the danish offerings have included fruit options but I have not seen the cheese ones for a very long time. Wondering if anyone has any insight on what may have happened to the best cheese danish pastries on the planet???

I ordered a danish from Captain Cooks a few weeks ago but I can’t remember if it was a cheese one or a fruit one.

Danish people were offended by the term cheese Danish so Disney changed the name to solidified dairy filled grain product.

Well, in my case, I ate the cheese danish. That's what happened to some of the cheese danishes!

They are hidden with the jalapeño cheese stuffed pretzels

Years ago, my sister and I were at the cafe near the bus stop at Shades of Green. We both wanted to get something to eat and decided that we would get the two cheese danish that they had remaining. We swear to this day that the person in front of us overheard us because he ended up ordering the cheese danish. We still talk about this unfortunate event.

Same thing with the chocolate croissant. We used to get them all the time when we stayed at the values. Our last few trips they only had plain.

I can’t give you an answer about why they’ve disappeared. They are an item I favor as well and used to grab them often. With Dis things come and go and it’s disappointing when you have come to enjoy something on multiple trips and looking forward to having it again on a return trip it’s nowhere to be found. Someone decides it’s time for a change or maybe the supplier changes or the cost to keep it on a menu no longer suits Dis. I’ve had to accept missing items and try finding a new replacement.

I've had an issue with finding a good cheese danish most places LOL. If I do find one, the filling is very lacking I was wondering if that was another supply issue casualty!

The cheese danish has been missing from WDW since well before the pandemic. McDonald's briefly brought a good one back a few months ago, but your point about the filling is partly why it's sad to not have them at WDW, because in my opinion it was possibly the best danish ever made!

That was a really good danish at McDonald's! They need to have it on the menu permanently. Especially since their apple pie isn't the same as it used to be.
