Contemporary feature pool and whirlpool spas closing for refurbishment in January 2023

"From January 9, 2023 through early April 2023, the feature pool and whirlpool spas will be closed for refurbishment. The water play area and Bay Lake Pool will remain open for your enjoyment. You may see and hear construction noise while this refurbishment is underway, but you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience."

It's a longer walk but the Bay Lake Tower pool should be able to handle everyone that wants to swim. The week before Christmas barely anyone was out there even when temps were upper 60s.

As an aside, I hadn't walked around Contemporary grounds much until recently and didn't realize how nice the quiet / original pool, the one sticking out in the water, is for a view out toward Bay Lake. Must be a nice spot to catch EWP.

Just to correct this.

The pool that remains open for Contemporary guests is the small round pool, often known as the bullseye pool, near the lake.

The Bay Lake Tower pool is not opening for Contemporary guests. That is called the Bay Cove pool and is only for BLT guests.
