I assume the cost of the date based park specific ticket will be adjusted correspondingly to reflect the shorter operating hours?

We had tickets bought for 28th September but park closed due to hurricane "Ian".We were given options 1..change tickets for the Friday when park was reopening (we were returning home to Uk on the Saturday) or 2..use tickets in the next 12 months.......no refunds allowed.
Had no choice but to book the Friday when the park didn't open until 10:00am,closed at 6pm due to evening event and on top we were charged an extra $70:00.Also the train back to the car park broke down and we had to walk back to our car despite a parked area of trains standing idle.What a rip off!!

Just for future reference, going to guest services and asking nicely will usually get you that refund.

Also unused tickets really don’t self destruct after a specific time. The original face value can always be applied to future ticket purchases.

This might also happen for Wednesday Feb 8th too.

The extended hours for deluxe resort guests that would normally take place then have been rescheduled to the Tuesday. And I’m told that Feb 8th is the second Cast Member event.

It took them 4 tries to pull it off last year? If it goes end of Jan it will be a fluke,

This wasn’t confirmed by anyone on here (afaik anyway). It’s from a CM who will qualify for one of these who has been given the dates.

I remember attending events at WDW Magic Kingdom in the late 70s. Grad nite in 79 and Publix family day in 80. I like that the venue is safe from public Interaction during events such as this.

It's the longer/shorter hours paradox. MK closes at 4:30 today for a CM appreciation event so many feel they aren't getting their best bang for their buck and go elsewhere. Those are the best days to go because lines are much shorter and you're likely to get more done. The only valid criticism is no nighttime show. By contrast, longer hours result in more guests and longer lines. Will you get more done with longer hours and longer lines? Possible. But you do get the nighttime show.

One thing is for sure, you would get a lot more done if the park was open after 4:30.
