The local news has picked up on this latest entertainment cutback from TDA.

The Spider-Man stunt performers in the Avengers Campus rooftop show got a lump of coal in their stockings from Disneyland as they were told to hang up their supersuits just as the Christmas holiday season kicks off at the Anaheim theme parks.

The stunt performers in “The Amazing Spider-Man” show received notice that their final performances would be on Sunday, Nov. 17 in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, according to the American Guild of Variety Artists.

Grr, I wish I'd known that was the last day of the full show - I'd've gone to see it. :(

(Although I did catch part of the show that day in passing and it already seemed truncated without the tumbling.)

But ugh that new version loses so much of the charm. I don't care about the tumbling but the start at the top of the building and coming down on the "web" was so great. :(

They are still flinging the stuntbot right?

According to Brady MacDonald, the Avengers Assemble! stunt show will have its final performance on April 5 - here's the update:

Black Widow, Captain America and Black Panther will no longer battle Taskmaster near the docked Quinjet in Avengers Campus as the rooftop stunt show joins the growing list of canceled entertainment in the Marvel themed land at Disney California Adventure.

The final performance of “Avengers Assemble” will be held on April 5 as the expansion of Avengers Campus begins at Disney California Adventure, according to Disneyland officials.

Disneyland officials do not have any additional information to share at this time on future entertainment offerings for Avengers Campus.

The cast of high-intensity stunt performers who earn $40.48 per hour in “Avengers Assemble” are among the highest paid performers at Disney California Adventure, according to the American Guild of Variety Artists Performers.

The closing of “Avengers Assemble” follows the final performance of “Doctor Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts” in June, the removal of stunt performers from “The Amazing Spider-Man” show in November and the end of “Story Time with Deadpool Holiday Special” in January.

The “Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje” and “Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off” continue to perform in Avengers Campus.

The “stuntronic” robot and a meet-and-greet character still remain in the Spider-Man show without the high-intensity stunt performers.

Iron Man, Thor, Captain Marvel and other superhero meet-and-greet characters continue to make appearances in Avengers Campus.

“Avengers Assemble” has been a mainstay since Avengers Campus debuted in 2021 with holiday versions of the rooftop stunt show featuring Hawkeye battling the Tracksuit Mafia using candy canes and Christmas presents.

The Avengers Campus expansion now underway will add the new Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Labattractions to the Marvel super hero themed land.

The latest batch of Marvel superheroes coming to theaters this summer won’t be heading to DCA’s Avengers Campus.

The Fantastic Four — Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing — will make character meet-and-greet appearances in Tomorrowland at Disneyland when “Fantastic Four: First Steps” hits theaters on July 25.

All I see is Disney retaliating against a union under the guise of "budget cuts".
Correct. But that’s kind of what the CM’s should have expected. Disney is under no obligation to employ entertainers.

I’m not taking Disneys side - they’ve already cut entertainment anyways which is bad - but the equity deal is bad news for everyone it looks like.

Is there any chance that the show is closing because it would be impacted by construction of the new E-Ticket? I know it's probably just "entertainment cuts" but wonder how much impact the construction will have on the already existing Avengers Campus?

If so, I would assume a new improved show will debut after construction is finished.
