Epcot Garden Rocks concerts - multiple short sets? Is dining package required to get a seat or stand?

Hello. We'll bet at Epcot Sunday and we're looking forward to seeing Little River Band, but I'm unclear as to how the concert(s) works. It's multiple shows in the evening, correct? Are they 30 minutes each? Do the bands play different set lists in each show? Do people usually hang around to watch all the sessions over 3-6 hours? Is it open seating and standing, or do you have to buy the dining package to get any kind of seat? Thanks!

Yes there are multiple showtimes, roughly 30 mins.

Set list is up to the band, so you may get something different, or it could be the same.

The theater is completely emptied after every show.

No standing, it is all seating. Dining packages are available with guaranteed seating towards the front. There is also a standby line to fill in any remaining space. There is usually standby space.

If you want to see multiple shows you would have to rejoin the queue and you may or many not get in.

We’ve been to many shows. Depending on the band or the featured singer appearing will determine how popular they are with the crowds and how fast the seating gets filled up. We’ve arranged the dining package for concerts we really wanted a guarantee for a seat. There have been certain performers that draw a very long line and seating fills up. If LRB is one you have your heart on seeing grab the package. You’ll get in with better chance of having better seats. We’ve also stood outside the seated area and heard the shows without difficulty.
Be prepared to hear the songs differently than you are used to. As the bands and singers age they sometimes have difficulty reaching those notes that once were perfect. They all still are great performers who play to please their fans so I’ve never gone away disappointed.

I've never had a problem getting a seat. For the more popular bands I'll get in line early. You can also watch right outside the entrances.

Thanks for asking this. I've never attended but I've always wanted to. I had a lot of these same questions. This is what I like about this website - you can always count on the members to answer your questions!

Thread Bump: Sorry.
I searched and this would be the closest thread to answering my question but I know the answers here could be outdated.

I will be down for my 50th B-Day and will be around for the first night Rick Springfield is performing. He would be someone I am interested in but not really someone I would want to wait in a line for seats. For those who have gone past years, what kind of crowd does he draw? Are all the seats full for every show or are there still some availability for one or two times each night? Alternatively, is the allowance of standing behind the ropes mentioned here still apply or have they moved towards the more traditional Candlelight Processional and moved people along not allowing them to stand outside the theater area?

Thanks so much in advance for your assistance and response.

Very large crowds compared to other bands that I’ve seen there. Last year we went to all of his shows both days. As soon as one show was over it was time to get in line for the next. Sunday was a bit more crowded than Monday-maybe bc it was the weekend? Regardless, we were able to get seats each show. We had the dining package seats twice(which were very good)but the line for that is long also!! The first show of the night seemed to be the most crowded. So, maybe go to a later one? The lines look crazy but they move quickly.
Not sure about standing behind the ropes.
He does put on a great show so if you can check it out.
Happy Birthday!!🎂🎈

Thank you very much for the information. I had looked into a dinning package but they were all gone for Sunday. I could still do the Regal one since we would be at Epcot early Sunday morning. If all else fails we will go to a later show. Thank you again.

If all the dining packages for Sunday are sold out you won’t have any luck at Regal Eagle. Regal Eagle has dining package availability only when the TS packages don’t sell out.

I learned this from a RE CM in November when I’d hoped to get a same-day dining package for the Beach Boys.

I’m again speaking from broadway concert experience so crowds may be different - but when the line was long and things looked crowded - I still got in - even when the line was backed up into Germany.

Thanks. I understood that Regal Eagle was walk up dining ressie day of only, first come first serve. Guess I misunderstood.

You didn’t misunderstand. I was under the same assumption when I arrived before Regal Eagle opened, expecting to find a line for those wishing to purchase the dining package (first come first serve). Instead I saw this:

That’s when the CM explained to me that Regal Eagle gets “unsold” occupancy from all the table service restaurants with dining packages. Since all the TS dining packages were sold out for that night, Regal Eagle had nothing to offer.

I think Disney should make that stipulation clear on the website!

I just looked back at the TR I did when we went last year & I had made the comment in it that the first show on Sunday was the most crowded of all the shows.
BTW-if you see me say hello! I’ll be there!!
All 6 shows…….
