This is so stupid, and terrible for guests.

Obviously Disney doesn't want the long lines, in the heat, we see with FoP. Disney can keep most of of the queue inside. I don’t think it's terrible or stupid. I understand why some guests would prefer alternatives.

I am somewhat predicting a big-bang reset with all of this, if pre-planning Genie+ is still indeed coming in 2024. Although they have been super quiet on details and probably had to check off DAS changes before doing anything next.

Try to join a VQ and buying ILLs doesn't make sense if you are trying to let the guest sleep-in.

I could see the new Genie+ system rumored months ago (7 rolling days prior for resort guests/Tiers) still let people buy ILL before the day-of. But the VQ part of it doesn't add up. They won't make guests join VQ for future days, that's sort of a silly notion. They could change VQ requirements and make guests be inside the park, but that's not ideal either for pre-planning.

The easy fix: drop the VQ for both Guardians and Tron. Keep the ILL and let you buy prior. Maybe keep VQ for EEH.

They have plenty of time (2-3?) years to figure out what to do with AK Indy.

The 1p drop accomodates guests who want to sleep late.

It's obvious, at least to me, Disney doesn't want FoP type of lines.
