As one who “benefits” from this it’s frustrating because I’m capped on vacation that’s hard to use so now I have 2 more days I need to attempt to use? I’d rather wish we could just cash it out..

Needless to say, we do not need to mandate anything because our staffing level and turn over isn't an issue.
Then again, we treat employee's like human beings.

Right now I'm working a 9/80 schedule to have an extra weekend day every other week as a "mental health" day.

I don't think people understand what this actually means. People still get sick and vacation time as normal, but these are now two personal days off that can't be denied. So if someone just doesn't feel like working one day, they can call in, still get paid and not have to use sick or vacation time.

As I understand it, it is two additional company holidays. The Friday before Memorial Day and Friday October 7th.

It’s an additional 2 days.

Here’s a company giving (some) staff an additional 2 days paid time off and they get criticised for it. I don’t like quite a lot of what Disney are doing right now, but this is a positive step surely.
