And that's the report by the DeSantis appointee attempting to absolve DeSantis of blame! It's a lengthy document that basically says, "Well, I've seen worse..."

I'm not going to miss this nonsense.

Were there posts removed? Why did you bring up this very old news out of nowhere? And add it to a thread that's been inactive for over a month? Looking to troll for a fight?
This “old news” was reported yesterday.

I read the article but didn’t see anything referring to morally bankrupt actions. What are you talking about?

On Disney's side, there weren't any, even though a DeSantis crony was supposed to find some. On the DeSantis side, they're trying to steal the headline to absolve him by saying the lawmaker cannot break the laws. It's weak and desperate and very DeSantis World. The funniest part is that there was no need for it, as the matter was resolved. But he cannot stand the perception in Florida Republican circles that he lost.

RCID technically was a separate entity From Disney but in reality was part of and totally controlled by Disney and RCID employees had many perks like WDW cast members.
Right. I remember the new board took the firefighters’ annual passes away and some employee discount benefits.

But that hardly qualifies as morally bankrupt by Disney, does it?

That’s what I figured.

The RCID was paying Disney for those benefits all along (meaning Disney was paying for them (out of one pocket and then paying itself back into another pocket), CFTOD didn't want to pay Disney for them so they went away.

We have the report that was issued by Florida Dept of Justice on the RCID. To sum it up, RCID actions were legally correct but morally bankrupt.

Did you honestly think AG Moody's office would issue anything different? "Broke no laws. But we need to find something negative to say about Disney to justify all the taxpayer $$$$$ we spent."

Typical

That's a distortion of the facts. RCID was a separate entity that gave its employees similar benefits that other third party vendors within WDW gave, which included park tickets. Disney offered this same benefit to any company that operated within the district (e.g. Disney Springs tenants, etc.).

Disney wasn't "paying itself" back. CFTOD wanted to "stick it to Disney" so they made an issue out of it.
