EPCOT Costuming Changes

Today marks the start of costuming changes throughout the park. First up is the Festivals team. Usually they would wear the flag shirt costume, but since most of World Showcase has to wear this now until the return of cultural reps, the festival team has been using the blue stripped conventions guide costume. Starting today they will be wearing this new design. It’s a mint green with light blue detailing and made from recycled water bottles. This is just the beginning of many more wardrobe updates.

makes it easier to slap a housekeeping sticker on when they need to take a break from serving cheddar soup to making beds at the all stars

The actual country costumes will be around. This is the beginning of replacing the generic costumes.

The reps costumes should be safe as part of the work visa states they have to wear a distinct costume. This (so far) is just for the cast working the food and wine kiosks.

Under the impression we have one or two more generic costumes waiting to debut, but this one will service a lot of areas. I’m still trying to hear back about how many areas this one will eventually cover, but this could cover a lot of areas in former FW. Attractions w/ attraction specific costumes should keep those, but other than that .

For the CMs sake hopefully its at least comfortable virtue signaling. I have a recycled content suit (for the occasional wedding) that is scratchy and hot as anything. Would hate to be wearing that all day in Florida heat.

Yeah, putting aside how bland they are, those shirts do not look comfortable at all.
