Park Rental Wheelchair ??

If I rent a wheelchair at a park entrance as I enter, would I be able to bring that wheelchair to the park bus stop at the end of the day?

My family member will most likely not need it getting to the park from the bus to start the day but at the end of the day getting back to the bus stop may be too long a walk.

I don't think the in park wheelchair rentals are allowed beyond the turnstiles. I have seen some around the bus stops, like at AK that are available to use from bus stop to turn/tapstiles. I could be wrong though. Hopefully someone else has some information for you. Have you thought about renting one from an offsite company to use for your stay? Then you can use it if your family member needs it while in the park and to and from transportation.

Yes you can bring it to the bus stops or even out into the parking lot if needed.

Yes, we've considered renting from an off-site company. Just not sure how often/when it would be needed. My family member isn't completely disabled (thankfully) but may need it at certain times (like going to the bus stop at the end of the day).

Does someone then need to take it back though? I assume you can’t just leave it in the parking lot or at the bus stops.

I must admit this surprises me, I was in agreement with @ajrwdwgirl.
If you are one of the last guests leaving a park, you get to witness a Disney pick up truck driving around the parking lot with several CMs throwing large amounts of wheel chairs into the bed. They do the same thing by the bus stops.

I’ve run into this same question before, so I completely get where you’re coming from. The official policy is that Disney’s wheelchairs need to stay inside the parks, but in practice, they do allow guests to take them as far as the bus stops or parking lots at the end of the day. Cast members usually collect them later.

This is very true. When I was local, the kid that cut my grass was a CM. He did the trams, not sure what it was called but at the end of the night they went around in pick up trucks and folded the chairs and loaded them into the back. I have seen it several times and we are not talking orderly military standards. It looked more like a pyramid. I can state that they gather many outside the parks every night.

When you return the wheelchair at end of your visit. You tell the CM that you need a wheelchair to go to the bus stop and they will give one. We do this with my sister since can walk the parks like she did in the past.
