Since he’s got a window now can they trash the portrait?
I'd take that in lieu of half of the stuff they announced for the 50th.

A Disney lifer that started with the company as a teenager and rose up to be a VP of a theme park? Looks like he progressed well up the food chain.
Very true, but the standard for Main Street windows tended (in part) to be the person being a well-liked and respected leader at all levels (or a big creative type). Phil was neither. Cast routinely complained of his style and demeanor, and not just the front liners.

Djuan is a great choice. Never met him in my time, but heard nothing but great things about him.

The windows really used to be a hallowed spot I thought. It was fun to stroll, take some slow time, and read the names. This like so many things in the parks has just gotten cheapened to the level of a participation trophy.
