Isn't that where the waterfall is? I wonder if it is some type of sealant that they will paint over to help prevent erosion.

I'd assume it's to fix the waterfall which hasn't been working recently.

Not true. It was only off during the early part of the previews. It was running by the time it opened to the public.

I understand the logistics of needing the ride to operate... but there has got to be a better way to hide this from guests. Some sort of wooden fence would do it.

Mind boggling that they didn't put something to cover this.
Also interesting- they didn't run TBA during Star Wars Nite. Disneyland's hot new ride and they couldn't run it during an up charge event.
Disney uses Summon Scrims...summon fail. The work is left uncovered
