They don't have to. There are still podiums at every restaurant. This just offers a quicker/easier solution (and you can check in when you are on your way to the restaurant to reduce your post-check in wait time).

Ok thanks for the clarification. They want to do this trip solo. First one solo to Disney in 7 or 8 years.
