Every time it closes I am hopeful of a reimagined KRR. I have a hunch Joe likes the current message and might object. Maybe the next CEO can convince Imagineering. Of course what exists now is better than a Zootopia overlay. 😖
I always jump to Jungle Book just because the themeing would be too perfect-especially if they tried to go with the live action version. It’s an unused classic disney property about Asian animals- it only makes too much sense to add a few bear and tiger animatronics to the empty spaces throughout the KRR sets.

Problem with a ride like that. You can't appreaciate the scenes you pass compared to Splash Mountain...Like Bilge Rat Barges there are so many details you miss since your boat constantly turns or you get drenched and not see the scene in the ride develop.

Exactly, that’s the same problem that occurs with the Jurassic Park ride in (I think Shanghai (one of the parks in Asia)) and the river rafts ride in Shanghai Disney. Even though it just has that one giant alligator, the rest of the ride is pretty empty and barren like Kali.

The solution would be to just add more general theming and scenery rather than the showcase of AK's landscaping department. More ruins and man-made features that double as a guest-moistening apparatus. Perhaps the whole post drop section could be changed to a desolate, deforested area to contrast the lush beginning in keeping with the environmental message. A rapids ride isn't the proper vehicle, literally and figuratively, for a highly themed, detailed experience with something to say, but at least it could be more consistent.
