Wasnt popular at Uni, not going to popular at DS. Another boondoggle that the parks profits have to hold up.
NBA City at Universal was dining driven. NBA Experience is entertainment activity driven. Two different things.Wasnt popular at Uni, not going to popular at DS. Another boondoggle that the parks profits have to hold up.
One thing they have in common though...NBA City at Universal was dining driven. NBA Experience is entertainment activity driven. Two different things.

Well that’s not true. Sports does draw in the right environments. If people didnt care about sports then sports wouldn’t outdraw practically all television ratings. And both are not cared about by visitors. It is a space calmoring for attention in a saturated market where people could care less about sports. Sports does not draw. WWoS is a prime example. It does not see much use, which is why they try to bait people to go there.
What are the right environments? Most of the NBA and NFL players are black. It's noticeable that is not one sees in the seats cheering them on...Well that’s not true. WWoS does extremely well for what it’s intended to do. They just built a brand new venue there over the past couple years. It also brings thousands to wdw each year for events.

I'm pretty certain they built Wide World of Sports with the intention that it would serve as a venue for competitions, and the attendees would spill over and spend money throughout the rest of the resort. I don't think Disney intended it to be much of a draw in and of itself for most other guests. The fact that it's expanding probably means that it has fulfilled that goal very well.Exactly this! If the complex was not a success then why have they expanded it three time in its history assign new venues?
True and some inner city kids who probably would never visit WDW, instead have experienced WDW when playing in basketball and football events in the high school and college level at WWS.I'm pretty certain they built Wide World of Sports with the intention that it would serve as a venue for competitions, and the attendees would spill over and spend money throughout the rest of the resort.
