Wow just to check the rates for a specific date it gives me a 2 minute wait graphic. I wonder if they are getting hit by web scrapers...

Edit: so it took me to the wrong page. I was able to get back in without the 2 minute wait. I'm going for room only. I actually got a better deal thru a travel agent earlier this year. Some agents get better deals than others. I wish we could figure out how that works, but every blogger seems to be tied to a travel agent so no one is talking. Sadly the moderate and deluxe prices are all way too high. I only checked a few dates, but this is the slow season.

I wonder how the new parking fees relate to the discount %. I mean, does it turn out to be a wash for people who drive or Florida residents (who drive)?
Are there ever discounts for Fort Wilderness? So far they treat Fort people pretty good. It's pricey, but in line with an upper end RV resort.

Not sure how much FW gets discounted, but it's usually very limited availability if it is. There will be a passholder and general discount coming out later on, so you don't ever want to pay rack rate. Rack is just for holding the reservation or Mermaid Rooms which never get discounted. ;-)

The new wait pop-up is actually popping up at random. This will make reservations take all day if you like to check many dates and resorts.

Yeah, the site isn't working very well for me either. I get the hold screen and then it sends me right back to previous page. :banghead:

A couple of observations.
- I am formally calling their web performance a mess. The pop up screen is bad enough - can you imagine a google search that gave you a pop up that says you will get your search answer in two minutes along with a countdown. And then on top of that - you still don’t get a real response - it drops you back to the starting page. It’s mind boggling this is happening. Do they not do testing or performance planning etc.

Has anyone tried to complete their magic band assignments where they are attempting to select the special bands that cost extra? I have been unsuccessful several times in the last couple of weeks and I am only trying to select bands for three people. Invariably at least one of the bands will come back as out of stock even though you just picked it and you can never compete the order.

How could there web services keep getting worse. They have made this central to the customer experience and they just haven’t delivered.

The passholder deals came out yesterday too for January-April 25. They are: up to 35% off villas, up to 30% off deluxe, up to 25% off moderates, and up to 20% off values. I had no problem booking for January and March.

After the countdown, click on search again and it will go through. I was irritated too, but realized that it works right after the countdown.

AoA LM actually gets discounted, but the rooms are extremely limited......we're staying there with AP discount next week
