To me, this shop appears to be more 1920s, art deco inspired than the previous iteration, which largely resembled a 1990s movie theater lobby (e.g., AMC) and kitschy, tourist shops along Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Throughout Walt Disney World, most shops display the same merchandise. I prefer the jewelry and accessories shop approach over another generic candy, mugs, and plush shop.

I am only sad we lost the mural. But from a design standpoint this is an overall win.
As for the merchandise - not my thing
