I naively thought there would be FW fans somewhere on these forums, but I guess I must be the only one. I will bow out of this discussion and let you all discuss your dreams of what TDC/DVC will do.

I guess none of you will ever know or appreciate the beauty and tranquility of FW. Have fun with all of your speculations of the end of a beloved original WDW resort.

This photo was taken from the Settlement Trading Post. It makes me so sad to see the impact this already has on FW.

No you are not the only one just another reason My love of Disney has faded

Joni Mitchell song
They paved paradise and put up a DVC
With a pink hotel, a boutique, and a swinging hot spot
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone?
They paved paradise and put up a DVC
Ooh, bop-bop-bop
Ooh, bop-bop-bop (na-na-na-na-na)
They took all the trees and put 'em in a tree museum
And now they charge the people a HUNDRED BUCKS just to see them
No, no, no
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone?
They paved paradise and put up a DVC

I don't think you'll find anyone around here who wants FW to go away. Just saying.

Nobody said they want Fort Wilderness to be eliminated.

There's a huge difference between what individual people want and what Disney as a company might actually do.

I'd say the campground is probably the next thing to go .. eventually. That's a lot of space for the cheapest tickets on property. And angering some campers is a drop in the bucket compared to their DVC population.

Just like modern day suburban development . .you can cram more people in less space if you go veritical and ignore green space. You don't see many neighborhoods being built with 1 acre lots .. you just see 10 townhomes crammed on what used to be a single family home lot.

Definitely a lot of land ... this isn't based on anything but I would be shocked to see it all go away - I think they like having it as an option and highlight when people do the golf cart parades, etc

Could definitely see part of it going away but probably beyond my lifetime before it is all gone
