Two words: DVC Tents.
Two words: DVC Tents.
This photo was taken from the Settlement Trading Post. It makes me so sad to see the impact this already has on FW.

No you are not the only one just another reason My love of Disney has fadedI naively thought there would be FW fans somewhere on these forums, but I guess I must be the only one. I will bow out of this discussion and let you all discuss your dreams of what TDC/DVC will do.
I guess none of you will ever know or appreciate the beauty and tranquility of FW. Have fun with all of your speculations of the end of a beloved original WDW resort.
I don't think you'll find anyone around here who wants FW to go away. Just saying.I naively thought there would be FW fans somewhere on these forums, but I guess I must be the only one. I will bow out of this discussion and let you all discuss your dreams of what TDC/DVC will do.

Personally I think it's a missed opportunity. A large area of land that doesn't bring in the sort of high earning clientele that Disney world is looking for. A great expansion area for a new park with attached high end hotels.I don't think you'll find anyone around here who wants FW to go away. Just saying.
If there’s matching DVC outhouses, then it’s got the green light from me.Two words: DVC Tents.
That's an upcharge. If there’s matching DVC outhouses, then it’s got the green light from me.
It's not like WDW doesn't have property to expand why ruin a classicPersonally I think it's a missed opportunity. A large area of land that doesn't bring in the sort of high earning clientele that Disney world is looking for. A great expansion area for a new park with attached high end hotels.
Hey you never know. They could sell "DVC campsites" and they work on the same point system. Two words: DVC Tents.

Bob only wants those who are "income qualified" visiting the parks and staying at the resort hotels now. No room for the poors anymore. As I said. It doesn't attract the right demographic.
Glamping at $500 a night.....Bob only wants those who are "income qualified" visiting the parks and staying at the resort hotels now. No room for the poors anymore.
I'd say the campground is probably the next thing to go .. eventually. That's a lot of space for the cheapest tickets on property. And angering some campers is a drop in the bucket compared to their DVC population.
Just like modern day suburban development . .you can cram more people in less space if you go veritical and ignore green space. You don't see many neighborhoods being built with 1 acre lots .. you just see 10 townhomes crammed on what used to be a single family home lot.
If there’s matching DVC outhouses, then it’s got the green light from me.
