News Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for weather January 1/2

Due to an upcoming cold snap that will affect most of the nation with low wind chill values, Typhoon Lagoon and Volcano Bay (Universal Orlando) will be closed on January 1st and 2nd. Blizzard Beach is currently closed for its annual refurbishment period.

We had plans to go this past Thursday and scrapped them once we stepped outside. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any real warm days before it closes next weekend. We went quite a bit though this last year, so I can't complain. I'm very curious what Blizzard's condition will be like when it reopens next Sunday since they did quite a bit of work on the park during the closure.

Due to the continuing low temperatures throughout Central Florida, Typhoon Lagoon will enter its refurbishment period early. Blizzard Beach will reopen Sunday. Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando is closed until Saturday and Aquatica at SeaWorld will reopen Friday.
