Actually we have an Olaf waffle maker - clean up is a breeze...as long as you don't over-fill Olaf. Then you get batter dripping down the back behind the wire that makes the top heat up and lets just say it ain't pretty trying to clean that godforsaken spot.

The face is different, how do they taste? Does a product the displays the Disney name have to be licensed by Disney?

To avoid a big legal headache if/when Disney becomes aware of it, yes it needs to be licensed. That's why things like Halloween costumes will say like "Spider Superhero" instead of "Spiderman". Depending on the licensing agreement there could be multiple licensees producing similar items, or you may have an official ice cream novelty and an official ice cream being made by 2 different companies. That's why the "Official Snack Cheese" is somewhat important in the Babybel deal as that means they could have other snacks or even cheeses as official sponsors of WDW as long as they aren't "snack cheeses".

Coming soon to Cosmic Rays (and other fine establishments): The License Burger
It is a hamburger made with the Official Ground Beef Patty of WDW, topped with a slice of American Cheese (the Official Processed Cheese Slice of WDW), and served with the Official French Fries of WDW, a cup of the Official Plastic Cheese of WDW, and a Mini Babybel (Official Snack Cheese of WDW).
