Is the Marina a covered location? Isn't this the prime time for thunderstorms? It sounds like fun, but I just can't imagine having dinner outside at this time of year I think the heat would be oppressive.

No, the marina is not a covered location. 2 years ago, I booked a late ADR at the GF Cafe over the 4th so we could watch the special 4th of July Wishes from the marina - we were over at Uni at the time. Late afternoon through evening thunderstorms delayed Wishes by nearly an hour. We finally gave up and headed back to Universal.

Frankly, I wouldn't pay for this. A reservation at the GF Cafe will give you the same thing - a great viewing spot - for much less. All they do is rope off the front area of the marina - they've had dessert parties in the same spot to watch the fireworks.

Wow, that's one way to get people to stay away from the GF to watch fireworks. Poly got rid of the beach with the bungalows, now this. Guess the TTC and the Contemporary are the best out of park places now to go.

There's a secret spot I've found off property to view July 4th and NYE fireworks from Disney, Universal, Sea World, Downtown Orlando and pretty much anywhere else that is in view all from ONE location. Mind it you have to provide your own soundtrack. :)
