The rooms look nice for a value resort. They need one accent wall with color. Even if a soft/ pale colorI like Pop Century also, my second fave hotel that I have BEEN to in WDW. My first: Dixie Landings. Oh how I miss that.

I believe Disney has stated that the project runs through April 2018 (which is end/pay date on the Notice of Commencement). However, if they continue to work at the snail's pace that they've been moving along at for the last ~6 months, we'll be lucky if they're finished by the end of 2018. I believe work began in early March and there are currently 2 (out of 10) buildings refurbished and back in inventory. A third building was rumored to be opening last week, but that hasn't happened yet. A small portion of a fourth building has just started the refurb process. I don't think the Gondola construction will have any affect on the refurbishment.
Are there any updates to this refurb? I just booked a room for early April and want to request one of the refurbed rooms, of course. I'm sure there's just a couple of buildings still under refurbishment at this stage.
Yes definitely well designed. I wish they were a little less sterile but as someone who has stayed at Pop more than I would have liked - the new rooms are a definite improvement! The rooms are not the most luxurious, but they are by far the most user friendly hotel room I have stayed in the last 5 years
