Yeah that’s why I don’t see it going for anything other than more Star Wars because of its location. I feel that it may have also been a factor with the lands name change. But who knows, I could be wrong and also plans change all the time.
Pooh is huge with new moms. The baby stuff outsells almost all Disney brands. I bet the merch outsells Star Wars and Marvel.

Star Wars exclusives at Disneyland are extremely annoying. You have to find someone with an AP and get them to drag it out of the park and ship it to you.

@mickEblu If you happen to see that Star Speeder 1000 at Disneyland, pick one up for me. ;)
Actually I'd probably get my sister to do it.

Do you mean 3000? Will do but if there’s one left it’s mine! Are they for sale again? From what I understand the Star Speeder 3000 was a limited edition from D23 that wont be going on sale again but they might sell a Star Speeder 1000 version. I’m oniy interested in the 3000.

Yup there are two 1000 & 3000. I guess the Star Trader will be getting the repainted red 1000. It's the same toy as the white 3000. Let me know if you see it and I'll send my sister.

Last year Pooh was 8 and Star Wars 2. All of these sold over 1B in merchandise in 2024. As you imply, I don't think any of these franchises risk removal targeting.

1) Mickey and Friends
2) Star wars
3) Spider-Man
4) Disney Princesses
5) Lilo and Stitch
6) Frozen
7) Avengers
8) Pooh
9) Toy Story
--
10) ?Cars
11) ?Lion King

Disney’s 10Q.

The 11 x 1B properties comes from Deadline and the question marks come from other properties not in 2024’s top 9 but recent entrants into said list. Cars last 2022.

This is just a list. It has no dollar value next to each one. They could be in any order. Are we really saying that the little bit of Star Wars on retail shelves sells more than aisle of Disney Princess?

No, it is in fact ordered. It changes year on year in their 10Q. Stitch has consistently moved up the list in a way that the Deadline article purports it has.

It doesn’t have a dollar value, but Deadline at least gives us a point of reference that stitch was 2.5B… so above that.

Pooh seems to have slightly greater lifetime sales than Star Wars and this is only a mere snapshot.

As per why? Dunno. Star Wars did have a licensed game last year. I think Star Wars mech is likely more expensive. Much more stickers and bedding for princesses and pricey Lego sets for Star Wars.

Well if it is ordered, it's nice to see that my favorite franchise pulls in boatloads still. Sometimes I think I funded Lucas by myself.
