They were never gonna find someone that looked convincingly like Mark Hammil. Mark’s face is too distinctive to do what they do with most face characters and I’m sure that’s why they held off for as long as they did. The projection show looks amazing though. Very well done.
It's not the face it's the bad wig and costume. None of which look like Luke. I guess its from his 1 minute Mandalorian appearance instead of the Luke people have known for 50 years. Disney has to promote their own star wars.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. The hair and robe looks indistinguishable from his look in return of the Jedi.

Minus the cape I’m really not seeing a difference.
It's very different from the Return of the Jedi version. The ROTJ version buttons on the left much like the star fleet uniforms in Star Trek do. The GE version is a black version of traditional Jedi robes.

You can see the difference in these two figures.

You are meeting the everyman of the Hero's Journey of the series as a look-alike, and nothing against the young man playing the part the best he can, but it is not a lot of looks and mannerisms going for the character paired with not being a dead ringer, a lot of the thrill is gone.

Another nice touch, but not a wow.

There are reasons that you can draw examples of major and minor theme park attractions having the supporting cast with extreme traits in the experience or venue, and you as the everyman entering the venue.

Meeting just about any other character than the everyman is more exciting to most in terms of material.

Looking at the pictures again I guess the galaxy’s edge one is a bit more layered then the outfit from the film as shown in the still @Disney Analyst posted above?

They literally brought in Luke's stunt double from Spaceballs.
I like how they brought us the least interesting version of Luke as well. Young whiney Luke, he's interesting as an audience surrogate. Old Man Luke, he's interesting because he's irascible and has conflict. This Luke? Just looks non-plussed and like he's about to tell me that he does his own research.

I can do my own research on that thank you very much.😉

This Luke will kill a kid just because he feels janky.

What in the heck
First videos of Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga are trickling in.

What a remarkable little show; projection show done right. I wonder how they do the Lore-weaver effect, is it Pepper's Ghost or do they just project straight onto the rock wall next to Bard?

What in the heck? What is going on? This show ACTUALLY looks,.....good???

I'm confused. How did this happen? Who is responsible for this? I don't think there is ANY way that Kathleen Kennedy would have approved this. This show looks REALLY nice and I don't see how this could have happened like this. Was it created in secret?

I feel like I just saw a unicorn or something. Really bizarre. I was expecting the usual horrible, Star Wars thing and it wound up being pretty darn cool. Can anybody shed some light on the behind-the-scenes work that went into making this?

It feels crazy to say but,...CONGRATS to the team that made this!!! It actually feels like,...well?...."Star Wars"

This is bonkers and completely out of character for Lucasfilm today.

It does look really cool. Ive seen little clips here and there but trying to avoid spoilers. Although not sure I'll ever get around to seeing it in person. At least for a while. First showing is at 8:30pm, people camp out early and apparently there are not many good viewing spots. Not sure it's worth the hassle with the kids. Cant see myself devoting 2+ hours for this ten minute show. In other words, I may as well go ahead and just watch the whole video. hahah
