Actually, it's a reasonable question since it would be need to be scheduled after the first or only Fantasmic of the night. For example, Fantasmic is currently scheduled for 7 and 9pm on 12/18.

They're at 10 PM on the 18th, last I heard

Okay. Or after the last Fantasmic, then. I think I recall the fireworks being between the shows on SWW. But then again, that was during DST, so the first Fantasmic couldn't be until 8:00 at the earliest.

Park hours have now been appropriately updated. Fireworks are always at park close, and now park close has been pushed back to 11 PM or midnight depending on the night.

The latest Disney will ever do fireworks is 10pm unless it's New Years Eve.

There is no way in hell the fireworks are that late. Disney prefers that people be awake to see its nighttime spectaculars.

Starting from December 18, Disney's Hollywood Studios Guests will be treated to “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular,” a new Star Wars-themed fireworks show set to memorable Star Wars music from the saga (while it will be presented nightly, the show will replaced by another fireworks spectacular on Dec. 31). In order to ensure Guests have the best possible experience, Disney's Hollywood Studios' operating hours will be extended starting December 18.

Here is the complete list of all the days in which the park hours will be adjusted (subject to change):
  • 12/18 - Park close changed from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm and Fireworks added at 11:00 p.m.
  • 12/19 - Park close changed from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm and Fireworks added at 11:00 p.m.
  • 12/20 - Park close changed from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm and Fireworks added at 11:00 p.m.
  • 12/21 - Park close changed from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm and Fireworks added at 11:00 p.m.
  • 12/22 - Park close changed from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm and Fireworks added at 11:00 p.m.
  • 12/23 - Park close changed from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm and Fireworks added at 11:00 p.m.

Ok then. I guess they're trying to get people to stay in the park? It would make sense if it were for that reason.

I'm guessing it's Osborne related? So they don't have close Osborne super early? If that's the case we should see a regular schedule after New Years.
