EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

It’s the best thing they could have done. It was perfect in 1982
In my opinion -

The entrance is perfect.

The points of light added to SSE is GREAT along with the corresponding lighting added to the entrance plaza.

I can live with Connections and Creations and am very happy we still have Club Cool. I am not happy with the styling of these but I can live with them.

Moana should NOT BE THERE

I HATE the planter with the broken ground lighting. What a total FAILURE!
I HATE the RUST finish all over the place.
I think the various campus seating is a waste and I am guessing was just put there, just to put "something" there.

I really do miss a fountain of nations of some form.

It is sad we are stuck with this for the foreseeable future.

Thankfully, no one is asking for the return of multi-colored CommuniCore.

The floodlights were already perfect to highlight the features of SSE. Maybe add something around the entrance plaza to accentuate that but that’s all.

I was attempting at being shady toward the lighting system vs. actually commenting. 😅

I do actually like the lights on SSE. But, I wish they were more like the projections on the Tree of Life. Do a show for a few minutes. Some flashes here and there. But, leave the beauty of the architecture with dramatic lighting for a good portion of the time as well. It's overused right now, so it feels more like a Las Vegas sign than an enhancement.

Projections are a dead horse at this point. I abhor the LED pucks on SSE. The one and only time they look decent is when they are small, pinpoints of light that aren't terribly bright. I have a picture on my phone. :)

I mean, if using color-changing LED lighting in one place is good, using it in 142 places is even betterererer, right???

The lighting on SSE is a plus...how they use it can be another matter... In general it looks pretty and gives them another elements to manipulate...so in most ways, it is good... Overusing them is more of a problem...like in general RGB lights... Just because the tech exists, doesn't mean everything should roll through the color wheel constantly...
It is the other parts of that integrated lighting package that seem more problematic...
In a world full of beautiful animated show fountains in our theme parks, Casinos, and shopping malls it is bizarre there is not a single one at the WDW resort... I will not count the leapfrog fountains or Journey Of Water in that... they are not really a show fountain in that sense... Yes there are water elements in a few shows.... but nothing like an animated show fountain anymore....and the one element the core of World Celebration desperately needs.

How they use the SSE LED pucks (for the most part):

Absolutely garish. How anyone, with any intellectual honesty, can sit and look at side-by-side comparisons between just floodlights and the LED pucks in use and say, "They're a great addition!!!" is beyond me.

Yeah, I'm willing to die on this hill.

Not that I’m putting any real stock in this, but it’s worth mentioning. Can anyone corroborate and/or shed light if they have some insider knowledge?

plus if they really wanted to do something with Figment, it would happen regardless of Test Track.... Test Track was sponsor funded...And the scale of what they have chosen to do sort of shows they have no real plan for undertaking a complete redo of Imagination anytime soon....

In just three months of getting a XTweet account they have not only a little over 200 followers, but...

They're following over 200 accounts!!

What brings someone to follow over 200 accounts in just three months?

Also, note the "I hope it's not true."

If you have inside info, then you know if it's true or not. If you don't know, then you're trading in baseless gossip.

Seabase Alpha was amazing... Talk about immersion... A beautiful 3 act play. Perfectly paced, beautifully and thoughtfully executed. Inspirational, exciting... It really was all of those thngs. Maybe as a society we have gotten so jaded we can't see what they did anymore... I don't know... If only Mission Space had been as well paced and immarsive as it was originally planned... more of a transport to Mars base instead of a simulated flight to nowhere...

Yeah, I don't see them rushing to re-theme the Seas pavilion unless there's some other work that has to happen...I think they've done a lot of slow refurbs to keep the pavilion up over the years.

I'm much more of a fan of the original Living Seas/Seabase Alpha, but nemo probably isn't going anywhere as it's "decent enough" for current Disney standards.

If there was ever an attraction that either needs an upgrade or a full out replacement it is the Nemo ride in the Living Seas Pavilion. I have never liked this ride, and it is telling that the queue is a mile long but it is constantly a walk on.
