EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

That's not what I meant. I don't want them to demolish Creations or Connections. I want them to demolish CommuniCore Hall and, rather than build the table, replace it with the kind of structures and landscaping that were originally supposed to be situated in the southeast portion of the area where Creations now resides. I think those structures could nicely encapsulate F&B, M&G, performance, and possibly even attraction spaces quite easily. Picture with arrow indicator to what I'm talking about for reference:

Ah ok, now I understand. I thought you meant more those kind of structures distributed across the entire central spine area.

I could see that working now that the symmetry has been forever thrown off. In and of itself, I don't think trying to mirror Creations with Communicore Hall was a bad plan once they axed the table building, though. All I am picturing as an alternative is a structure that more directly mirrored Creations while incorporating the same features, though, so perhaps I am lacking in imagination (or Imagination!, as the case may be). Overall, though, I think I am more positive on how Creations and Connections turned out than most.

Yeah, I get that. I just think that, since there's really no chance of JoW going away in the foreseeable future, it's best to further embrace the asymmetry and lean into the west being the "garden side" and the east being the "shopping and dining side". Keep the structures more minimal and rounded in shape so that it feels like there's an intentional contrast. As it stands, CommuniCore Hall is even sharper than its counterpart, which I don't think works visually.

The atmosphere, fountains, and overall theme were better before. Compare the vibe and color of Electric Umbrella vs the bland cafeteria we have now. There’s just no comparison. Same with Mouse Gear vs the target we have now. It’s just sad. I do like a few elements of the redesign but by and large it’s sad.
I like what's there now a heckava lot more than what was there before.

Communicore Hall, tho, is still a disappointment.

What they had could’ve been more simply repurposed to be better, but Electric Umbrella, Mouse Gear, the pin station, the sailcloth, the paint job, etc. were not good by any stretch of the imagination.

It was pretty ugly and dated looking, not to mention the food was pretty bad.

The core of the issue, specifically with the outdoor section, is they already had it right the first time around pre-94-99, w more greenery and a more organized/thematically consistent look. It would’ve been far less expensive to do and resulted in much higher satisfaction if they had simply went back to that w some enhanced theming features.

You know what's funny?
Going from vomiting and having the runs at the same time to only having the runs can be seen as an improvement too (although some will even argue that the current state of Epcot is actually the former of these two). But it is nothing that should be celebrated. I would argue this is one of the worst investments on the parks that Disney has ever made. Waste of time, waste of money.

The new Connections feels like a retro Airport concourse...and I mean that in a good way...It is bright and cheerful and the mural is colorful. I wish there were a little more modernism to it, but it is no longer Future World...
The Creations redo is just too plain and current-day. There is not placemaking or specialness to it...and the same with the new Club Cool... Everyting should have a certain uniqueness to make it memorable...Creations and Club Cool feel directly lifted from any city shopping mall. Now that Club Cool is hidden on the backside of the building, thay should have brought back the glacier entrance and added something whimsical to the space... It is all too plain.... and Communicore Hall is the biggest offender...

It’s underwhelming for sure.

It’s still weird to wax poetic about the loss of the vomiting once it’s gone, though. Basically, I’m not saying what we’ve been left with is up to standards, but the revisionism about things like Electric Umbrella and Mouse Gear is an odd overcompensation.

In Disney's standards it's sad!

Perhaps certain insides needed a fresh up or modern elements but the outside never looked dated to me, some may say it's still Epcot 2000's but at least I felt as I was at a theme park, an iconic theme park! You were amazed you was at Epcot again just like World Showcase!
