not your fault, but thank you. And that WAS part of our issue, we're in State but not local so we're room only all the time. That would be embarrassing. Sorry that you had to deal with it. Now I think I understand what you all are saying a little better. I've only ever had a package (rather than room-only) and it's paid in full when we arrive. If room charges were going on the card then we'd be at the limit quite often.
That depends. Are they eating cheese in bed?Correlation does not imply causation.
Because prices have gone up does not mean that they are the cause of the credit limit increase.

It's timing more than anything. It should not hit your card at all unless you somehow hit the limit before you go to desk (they CAN reverse it and put the cards through if that does happen, it just takes a bit for the process) or if you don't get to it the night before check-out (it's going to process everything that night and if you have any charges the day OF checkout, those will hit separately).Quick question. I usually like to use cash or gift cards when I pay. If I charge to my room, and want to go down and pay cash or use a gift card at the end of the day, will that charge never actually hit my credit card, or will they preauthorize the card and just let the preauth expire?
OMG no more cheese for me.Correlation does not imply causation.

They don't load your gift cards onto your account at the resort unless something has changed. They do, however link your credit card to your Magic Band and can be done in advance like you said. Your card gets charged to start with any balance you might have due (you CAN use your gift card here) and then each time you get to/close to your limit (timing is iffy). You have to be proactive and present your gift cards at the desk AFTER charges have been made on your account, but before your limit processes to your credit card. If the latter happens, you can have it reversed, but it's a process.I am kinda confused. Since this will be the first time we are going since the full implementation of the Magic Bands. I planned on having my Disney Visa already linked to my acct . I also planned on loading some Disney gift cards to my acct. I assumed, (this was probably my first mistake ), that when I tapped my band and entered my PIN that the charge would immediately come off of the gift cards first. Then once those were depleted, my cc would start getting charged. Is this wrong? I am kind of lost...
I just literally LOL'd when i read Little Richard routine... #DEADWho said anything about the rate of inflation? Prices have gone up, no matter what Little Richard routine you pull with me or the other poster....
Price increases, yes. But primarily it's the Magicbands. They want to reduce the inhibitions to spending more...
(Not to mention reducing the amount of individual credit transactions - meaning the Mouse paying far fewer transaction fees)...
I am so tired of the ridiculous comments that add absolutely nothing to the discussion, but are simply constant digs and smartass attempts at jokes. I have found new life on this board by actually using the ignore button. Thanks for being another candidate.
um...ok. Have a good day!I agree with you 100%. Disney can raise its prices as much as they want and they do not have to answer to anyone. They can even close half of a parks rides (I'm looking at you DHS) and they can still charge full price and they can even raise that parks admission price if they so choose to do so. And please stop with the childless jokes or even worse...barely thought out attempts of what you call a joke. It's embarrassing...pathetic even. I will IGNORE thee.
You must be eating off property to get away with paying only $60/day for four on your room charge ... or you're on the DDP.
Ticket prices, room rates, parking - pretty much everything has been increasing much faster than overall inflation in recent years. That's been documented plenty of times in other threads.Really? Which particular prices have increased faster than the rate of inflation? If you are going to hijack a thread then at least add some context instead of dropping a lame attempt of humor and leave.
