I was there last week, the week of Labor day. (Sept. 1-8 to be exact) I chose not to be there during the 11th because if something did happen, I didn't want to be stuck in FL. However, I grabbed a copy of Eyes & Ears (CM newspaper) and in an acticle I read they were planning a moment of silence in all the parks and water parks at noon that included a special announcement followed by "God Bless America" which they were inviting guests to sing along.
Also, all CM's nationwide, including me, were wearing a special Liberty pin today above our nametag.
This was part of an email I received today written by a cast member. This is what happened at the parks this morning and how the crowd was.
"We had a moment of silence in all 4 parks and the water parks today at noon. There was a recording of a speech by President Bush and they played God Bless America. It was very eerie and quiet. The parks are not busy today but it's hard being here. "
I was there on sept. 11th. The MK was very slow. I was in line for btmr when the moment of silence was observed. It was a very uneasy feeling. Later that day another guest told us that there seemed to be more television and radio reporters at Epcot than guests. I was at WDW from sept. 6th. thru the 13th and the whole while all the parks were very slow.
