That also happens to show an existing souvenir store, called Sunset Ranch Souvenirs and G(ifts?) Did that go away for a period of time and become seating, or did they just rename the existing store and move merchandise?

I think it was previously some kind of store and not seating. Probably my error.

Sunset Ranch Souvenirs and Gifts was what was there previously. The name (and merchandise) changed to Sunset Ranch Pins and Souvenirs around the time the Sorcerer Hat Shop closed.

It is expected that Planet Hollywood will remain, just with the exterior of the building re-themed.

Off topic I know but I also assumed PH would just be re themed. I hadn't heard anything about it being closed until this thread. Can someone clarify?

On some of the information about Disney Springs the Planet Hollywood building which currently looks like a sort of globe is referred to as The Observatory and artists impressions show the exterior themed to an observatory. But somebody (see the Disney Springs sub-forum somewhere) has confirmed the restaurant in The Observatory will still be operated by the owner of Planet Hollywood and therefore the interior theme probably won't change.
