ORLANDO, Fla. -- According to SeaWorld officials, three guests and five employees of Discovery Cove were transported to a hospital as a precaution after a lightning strike at the park on Tuesday.
There were several different reports as to how many people were injured, prior to SeaWorld's news release.

Guests leaving the park told WFTV they were warned to take cover and then said they heard a loud crash of thunder. The guests said they heard emergency vehicles, but didn't know anyone had been hurt.

SeaWorld said the eight people, reported to be adults, were alert. Fire rescue said they were transported to Dr. Phillips Hospital.

Their names have not been released.

No other details are available at this time.

I saw the news crews from Fox and ABC at Dr. Phillips hospital and wondered why. Sorry to hear that's what happened and I'm glad they will all be okay.
