Well - we didn't get into the parks until about 9am. We did a LOT (and a lot of back tracking and park hopping). The park was actually pretty full. Indiana Jones had a wait from 45-75 minutes all day. Splash Mountain topped it off with a line of 110 minutes at 7pm!
Changes I noticed:
Star Tours has nice, granite looking flooring in the pre-show area! Or maybe it just looked like it since we walked on it!
The Haunted Mansion - The protraits now have large frames on them and on the last one, the words "April" and "December" were absent. Overall, the ride looked pretty spiffy!
Pirates - I noticed this when I was there in June as well, but in the final scene before the large waterfall, the pirates on the right used to shoot at a pirate on the left. The pirate on the left is gone. I thought it was just temporary, but 2 months later, it's still that way.
Referbs:
Space mountain, the Tiki Room, and Big thundermountain were all down.
And there was no new activity around the lagoon in tomorrowland.
No, we didn't win the cruise (but it would have been nice) - though we tried twice and saw a 16 year old get 1 question away from it!
We didn't get to stay for any of the evening entertainment either. One of these nights, my husband has promised to come up with me JUST for that, since we always miss it (I haven't seen Fantasmic in DL in years!).
One thing I noticed was that, even though the crowds were there, DL was still operating as if it was a dead weekday in the fall. I mean, the cast members did thier jobs VERY well (Kudos to them for being very helpful and nice, far beyond what I usually struggle with when we go to DL. I noticed a lot more older folks working too), but they had to deal with people waiting in a 110 minute line at Splash Mountain who get to the front and see that every other log is going off EMPTY?! We also waited over a 1/2 an hour for dinner at the French Market in New Orleans Square. The line was out the door and we were in the middle of it, but they only had 1 side operating?!
Maybe that's just standard Wednesday protocol.
On a sour note - Tortilla Joe's seems to have either had a bad day, or they spiced down thier food. It was just a hair above average. Not great.
HOWEVER - for the game - my digital camera got ruined on Grizzly River Rapids, so I have no photo proof, but the line was 35 minutes!
