Challenges, 5K and 10K are sold out.
Must say, very "Disney" looking medals. Well designed and detailed.
2024 was a circle sure but that's like the only similarity.Big fan of the Marathon, 5K, and 10K medals.
EDIT: That Goofy challenge medal is almost a carbon copy of the one I won in 2024.
Looks like it. The photos are pretty bad in themselves. They likely rushed them given the delay to get them out. This is the latest release since pre-covid.Did they use a chipped 5k medal for their promo materials?
No usually too early for anything at the TTC. Your best bet is Animal Kingdom for anything first. We don't know the course yet tho to see what we go near. Studios is usually just a quick in and out on sunset boulevard. Epcot you would have England, joffreys there, Canada and then World Celebration area. What are y'all's go-to snacks on the course? I don't mean gels, I mean places in the parks you stop to get a bite. Is the Joffreys at TTC open to grab a donut? What should I be looking forward to?
It's not uncommon for the maps to get released in mid December. Basically you can't assume you'll see them until the event/expo guide comes out. Last year someone posted them a few months early but I don't think that's the norm.No course maps yet? It's almost a month out. What are your thoughts on all of the costs, planning, training and not knowing what the course is until the last minute?
Training and planning for a distance event or challenge begins with the commitment to go the distance. The commitment to take on an event happens well before a course map is issued. Course maps constantly change even though the event / events are the same. The weather has far more impact on an event and no earthly being can control that. In the greater scheme of things course maps are nice but not really a factor to doing or not doing an event. No course maps yet? It's almost a month out. What are your thoughts on all of the costs, planning, training and not knowing what the course is until the last minute?
Considering what all goes into creating the course on the Disney-side of things, it makes sense that they wait until the last minute. You can always look at past years for an idea of what the course will be like.No course maps yet? It's almost a month out. What are your thoughts on all of the costs, planning, training and not knowing what the course is until the last minute?
Last year they announced just the marathon course early because of some of the bigger changes they made. Otherwise like you say they don’t release them until about month out or even less sometimes. It's not uncommon for the maps to get released in mid December.
