My first full and absolutely terrified.

Any chance we find out the corrals before getting our bibs?
Not officially but you should be able to get a good guess of where you'll be based on previous years. Only caveat tho now is 2025 has an additional corral than the last few years did.

I’m running g the Full!
What are you running?? Who else?!
Signed up for Dopey but untrained. Definitely doing the 5k with my son but I'm going to have to see how it goes from there. Did full Dopey in 2023 untrained but needed the extra time from corral C to finish the full. Not sure where they'll stick me this time.

I sure hope lol. Not trying to set any records but for sure want to push myself as much as possible. My biggest concern is food during the run
I tend to drink Powerade every time offered and sport beans with water anytime it's not. I'm afraid to put any real food in the tank for long runs and for me sport beans are easier to open and consume compared to gels. Anecdotal information of course but good luck

Personally didn’t eat before any of the runs to ensure no stomach issues occured. Never missed a water stop.
It’s one of my biggest fears when running. I’ve had way too many close calls.

Thinking I’ll just run with a pace group for a bit. Furtherest I’ve ever ran before is a half. So after 13.1 who knows how my body will hold up.

The likelihood here is that after the half point on Sunday you're going to be out of muscle glycogen and mentally drained, given what you said above. Now if you're in pretty good shape then you can survive that and just shuffle to the finish. But if you want to have a better day Sunday you might need to sacrifice your pace on Saturday. Consider stopping every half mile or mile to walk for a minute. I like to do it based on distance so I try for a tenth of a mile walk after each mile early in the race and then as I start getting sluggish I'll shorten the run segments to keep feeling loose.

However, there is something to be said for knocking out a good POT on Saturday for next year and just hoping for the best Sunday. It just hurts more to do it that way.

Oh I’m only doing the full but plan on doing a run/walk approach to conserve energy and not be a zombie by the end. Which might happen anyway lol

Ah ok. You'll be ok then. I thought someone mentioned their first full as part of Dopey and attributed to you. If you're doing the run/walk and keep hydrated you'll be ok. Weather can be anywhere from 35-85 degrees so that's always an interesting surprise.

Have you done other Disney races before to know the particular frustrations of slow starts and 4-wide walking groups? If so then you're all set.

This is actually a bit depressing for me. I went to sign up for the Marathon on the day registration opened. While I was in the queue the race sold out. I have heard similar stories from a number of other people at road races.
You have to essentially play the game. The marathon takes the longest to sell out historically which it did for 2025. It took 111 minutes to sell out. That is better than 2024 when it took 91 minutes to sell out. Many including myself have several devices, and browsers open to be able to get into these races. Even after they sell out tho they do open back up repeatedly.
